ARGOS MACCALLUM

Argos MacCallum has lived in Santa Fe New Mexico since 1967, and has worked as a carpenter, plasterer, ranch manager, orchardist, furniture-maker, scene shop manager, as well as a film and stage actor and stage director.  A chapbook, She Loved Gravity and Would Fall Down Exquisitely Anywhere, was published in 1987by Synergetic Press. A second book of poetry, Sleeping Woman Mountain, was published by Kelsay Books in 2022. His third collection, The Road from Refuge Ridge, will be published in June 2023 by Kelsay Books.  Argos has worked with many theatre companies in Santa Fe, and co-founded  Teatro Paraguas, a bilingual theatre company, in Santa Fe in 2004.  Recently he was included in the Santa Fe New Mexican's 10 Who Made a Difference in Santa Fe Award in 2022.
